About Us
Kelowna and District SHARE Society has been helping people for over 40 years working to address the many needs of those in our community who are in transition. This transition can be defined as – someone who is a newcomer to Canada and has to start from the beginning, – or a person who is being released from a treatment program or prison and needs to reintegrate into their community, – a youth at risk who needs to learn new skills, – a person with a disability who is on a journey of self-discovery and self-realization, – or simply a single mom who needs to make her dollar stretch to the end of the month. The SHARE Society Thrift Store is a social enterprise that operates to support the following programs: Community Assistance Program – (CAP) Volunteer Engagement Program – (VEP) Transition to Employment Program – (TEP)
