Mike is one of the most honorable people I have ever met. I have been taking my vehicles to him for 6-7 yrs. He is fair, honest and trustworthy. It is my first place to go when I need repairs of any sort.
After driving six hours to Kelowna for a hockey tournament, our transmission broke down on our AWD van on the evening of November 10. Forman Automotive was the only shop open on the Saturday of the long weekend, so we towed it there for diagnosis purposes. Mike took lots of time to try to resolve the problem on his own, to save us money, before recommending a refurbished transmission. After some time, we purchased a transmission and Mike's mechanics installed it correctly, right before we were going to pick it up. Although there were a few setbacks here and there with parts, time, and on the drive home, Mike was there every step of the way to problem-solve the issues. Mike made sure he communicated with us, with the transmission sources, and with his mechanics. He even drove to our vehicle, took it back to his shop on a Sunday, and figured out and repaired the glitches even though his shop was officially closed. This shows that Mike is an intelligent mechanic and an honest businessman who cares about people... not just service. He even reimbursed us about 30% of our repair costs due to an unforeseen error, no fault of his or his mechanics. That's going above and beyond! That's just Mike displaying kindness. He is not just a knowledgeable mechanic, but a personable, reasonable human being! I would recommend his automotive shop to anyone. Mike is a great person!
I was referred to Mike, so this is my first time taking my car to him and I am so grateful I did. Previously to seeing Mike I had got 3 other quotes for repairs on my car and they all inaccurately diagnosed it. Mike however did his due diligence and the fix was minor because of it. Few days later after picking up my car I noticed he had fix my wipers and hose connection which were both broken, what kind act of generosity. I was extremely well taken care of and he has restored my faith in mechanics. So if you're looking for a kind, honest and of high standard work ethic mechanic...well you found him :-)
I have been taking my vehicles to Mike for years and won't ever use anyone else. His service is excellent and he is very honest and always looks for the least expensive way to get me back on the road. On more than one occasion he has saved me money by repairing things that most other shops would have replaced. Now my whole family has switched to Forman Automotive
I've been taking both mine and my wife's vehicles to Mike for the past four years, he's the first mechanic I've ever met that has looked into and solved minor problems without it turning into a large bill. I found everytime I took my vehicles into a mechanic they'd find something else wrong and it would turn out being way more money then I ever expected paying at the time. Mike has treated my wife and I the way you're supposed to be treated, the fact my wife is happy taking her vehicle to Mike without feeling intimidated says a lot and we drive from West Kelowna for the great service. I'd recommend Forman Auto to anyone.
