Today while working on some new content for my website it gave me the opportunity to really reflect on my role as a counsellor and all of the clients I saw in the last years. What incredible gifts each and everyone of them has given and taught me. I often think this piece is missed in talking about the therapeutic counselling relationship but I wanted to highlight how much I learn and grow and am so humbled by the opportunities to have so many people share very intimate details of their lives with me in order to grow and learn. Thank all of you for trusting in me to help guide you along some very difficult journeys and for the gifts you give me by allowing me to be your counsellor!

I am very excited to for 2024 to continue what I love doing!

Do you notice a change in your mood as the weather changes and the hours of daylight get shorter?

Beat the winter blues with these tips for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):
1. Maximize natural light exposure daily (you can even get a special light to help).
2. Prioritize a balanced diet (including extra vitamin D) and regular exercise.
3. Consider counselling for coping strategies. Professional support can provide valuable tools to navigate SAD's impact on mental health.
Embrace the season with self-care and resilience!

Share a tip that you find helpful below! I personally find getting up to a ski mountain a few times a month even if it isn't to ski but to get some sunshine helps!
