Here's a brief explanation from one of our suppliers regarding price increases this fall on some teas. As you know Teaberry's does its best to keep our premium teas priced as reasonably as possible. ? A shortage of good quality rooibos ? Severe labour problems in Darjeeling ? Very heavy rains in Assam – lots of crop but difficult to find good quality ? Sri Lanka – severe weather and high demand ? China – burgeoning middle class wants the same quality as western consumers
